The California Highway Patrol collects toys from all around the Sacramento area and also has a toy collection day held at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds in December. Several very generous corporations also supported the CHiPs For Kids effort!
The CHP distributes the toys to hospitalized and disadvantaged children through
UC Davis Children's Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Shriner's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, the
Salvation Army, WEAVE, Head Start, Boys & Girls Club, Operation
Rudolph, Loaves & Fishes and other community service organizations.
Sacramento Vintage is honored once again, to be the distribution center for all these toys that are distributed to underprivileged children. This year we had around 650 kids show up Tuesday, December 22nd to select their toys.

The first thing the kids could do in Santa's Workshop was to have a photo taken with Rudolph and Santa.

Inside the TOY SHOP....the kids could pick out ANYTHING they liked!
And a really BIG thanks to all of our volunteer escorts and these young ladies from local area Brownie Troops. They were a HUGE help!
Wednesday, December 23
On Wednesday we had the opportunity to ride along with the California Highway Patrol as they delivered toys and gifts to Loaves and Fishes, The Shriners Hospital for Children and The Ronald McDonald House.
