2007 Americas Most Beautiful Roadster
Grand National Roadster Show - Pomona
Congratulations!
This is Kevin and Karen Alstott's '35
Ford convertible built by Roger Burman and his crew at
Lakeside Rods & Rides. The
Dunlop tires are mounted to custom one-off wheels, 20 x 10
and 17 x 7, holding up the custom S.A.C. 'rails featuring a
stretched wheelbase. To this, Marcel Custom Metal fitted a
convertible body that was then painted in a PPG two-tone.
Power is supplied by a 408-inch Donovan block (Chevy
configured) hooked to a Tremec 6-speed with a SST exhaust
and Sanderson headers. The suspension is based on an Indy-
style system while the wiring comes from a Painless Wiring
kit. The Alstotts are from Ft. Dodge, Iowa.(Courtesy
Street Rodder Magazine) The Alstotts' car will be on
display at the Sacramento Autorama.
